Inca Gold is a delicate, light roast boasting clean and crisp flavours and accentuating the sweet notes of summerfruit and honey. With minimal roasting to preserve the unique origin flavours formed in the Andes Mountains (Cajamarca, Peru), this speciality roast creates an invigorating cup that beautifully captures the unique flavours that Peruvian coffee has to offer.
Served best black as a pour-over, filter or plunger coffee and works well with milk to create a balanced cup, Inca Gold is a special reflection of some of the best coffee in the world...
Here at Three Llamas, we only offer Peruvian single-origin coffee. We don't do origin blends, we don't do confusion. We believe that simplicity is best when producing an exceptional cup of coffee...
100% of our coffee is grown in Northern Peru, specifically in the region of Cajamarca - near and around the town of San Ignacio. Situated in the Andes Mountains at a high altitude above 1600m, of our coffee is organically grown on small microplots, free from pesticides to preserve the natural health properties within the bean.
The high altitude of the Andes Mountains means that the climate is known to change drastically in short distances. This results in different flavour profiles developing through a multitude of microclimates - producing a range of specifically unique beans across different farms, each contributing different flavour elements to a roast.
The main advantage of single-origin coffees is that they display specifically unique characteristics that can only be found within a particular coffee region. Peruvian coffee traditionally has a mild acidity, with a light body that is both flavourful and aromatic. The region of Cajamarca is well known for producing sweet coffees with bright acidity, and notes of red and yellow fruits.
To best experience these traditional Peruvian flavours we recommend our Inca Gold, Essence Espresso, and Organic Viva roasts.
